Livina Press publishes four times a year. Each issue is published within a month of submissions closing (i.e. if submissions are open from March 1 - March 30, then the issue will be published in April).

Every issue is published through Amazon KDP for print copies, and PDFs are available through the website for a nominal price.

Livina Press asks for first serial rights and archival rights. Rights convert back to the author after publication.

In the future, if a piece that was first accepted and published through Livina Press is accepted elsewhere, I would ask that you please acknowledge Livina Press in the publication.

Yes! If a piece that was first accepted and published through Livina Press is accepted elsewhere, it can be republished as long as proper credit is given to Livina Press as the original publisher.

Unfortunately, Livina Press is unable to offer payment to the contributors at this time. This is something that I am working to change, but seeing as this is a one-person gig and I am constantly trying to balance running LP and a full-time job, it’s been difficult. However, Livina Press does provide a full PDF copy to every contributor when it is finished!

Unfortunately, Livina Press is unable to offer free physical copies, but every contributor gets a full PDF of the issue as soon as it is ready!

Yes! You can share your work in whole or in part if it has been published with Livina Press, I just ask that you credit Livina Press with the publication if you do so.

Anyone can submit! Livina Press does not have any rules/requirements regarding who can submit. As long as your submission follows the guidelines.

Yes! You can submit to the regular Livina Press issues that are published 4 times a year, as well as Midnight Ink which will be published every year in October.

Nope! There is no rule on when you can resubmit to Livina Press. This may change in the future, but as of right now, you can submit to every issue even if you were published in the previous one!

Livina Press publishes 1 themed issue a year. An announcement for the theme will be made about ~1 month prior to submissions opening. The information for the themed issue can be found on our submission guidelines page here once it has been announced.

The special issues published by Livina Press are usually focused on a specific theme, and all proceeds are donated.

Previous themed issues have been:

• “Fight for Reproductive Rights” with all proceeds going to the Center for Reproductive Rights.

• “Womanhood” with all proceeds going to Women for Women International.

• “Homeland” with all proceeds going to The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees
